Steak with Black Garlic
Ingredients

-
1 tbsp oil
-
3 eye fillet steaks (or any cut of your liking)
-
Salt and pepper to season
-
1 tbsp salted butter
-
1 sprig of rosemary
-
4 large cloves of black garlic, chopped into small chunks

Method
-
Pat dry your steak and then massage in the oil, salt and pepper into each side. In a thin based pan, heat up your oil on high temperature. Sear each side of the steaks until they get a nice crust, ensuring you don't overcook the steak in the process. Make sure to stand the steaks up on their sides to sear the edges as well.
-
Once seared, transfer the steaks into a large heavy based pan and place over medium low heat. Add your butter, Black Garlic and rosemary, and then with a spoon, baste the steaks with the melted butter mixture. Continue to do this until the butter has browned, and the steak has cooked. Cooking time will vary depending on how thick your steak is.
-
Remove the steaks from the heat, and allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
